Fungi in fruit trees must be sprayed after flowering. Silica preparations will prevent fruit setting when applied too often and before flowering. As with all Silica preparations like Polygonum, use must be strictly accordant to instructions, and care must be taken to stick to the prescribed dosage in subsequent applications (3)
